Commissioner's Hunting License Auction

Wyoming Game & Fish Commissioner Richard Klouda graciously awarded us a Commissioner's Hunting License. Congratulations to the winning bidder that gave $8,400 for the license. The Bighorns thank you for supporting the National Bighorn Sheep Center!

Summer Hours Begin Monday, May 28th, 2012

The summer season arrives on May 28th. The Center will be open 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Sunday.

Birthday Party, July 3rd, with Free Lunch!

Come help the Center to celebrate turning 19! Join us for a free (yes, free!) lunch of bratwurst and all the trimmings at Noon on July 3, 2012.

Fall/Winter Hours Begin Monday, September 3, 2012

The Center will be open during the fall and winter from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday.

Annual Fundraising Dinner

Our annual fundraising dinner and auction will be on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Headwaters Arts and Conference Center in Dubois. Here's a sneak preview...we'll be offering a framed giclee print of bighorn sheep by renowned wildlife artist Greg Beecham! Stay tuned for more details to come.

Exhibit Planning Grant Received!

We are excited to announce that the National Bighorn Sheep Center recently received two grants that will allow us to plan a remodel of several exhibits. Many thanks to the Wyoming Chapter of the Wild Sheep Foundation and Wyoming Wildlife, the Foundation, for their generosity. The new exhibits will feature more amazing aspects of bighorn biology, as well as humans role in conservation and how we affect the continuation of wild sheep populations. Stay tuned for more information as these new exhibits develop.
