School Programs

Tours of the National Bighorn Sheep Interpretive Center are fun and educational. We are flexible and can provide programs around our exhibits that meet your needs on any of the following topics:

  • Seek and Identify - Mapping and identification for fifth through twelfth grades
  • Sheep Mountain - Observation and investigation for third and fourth grades
  • Discover Wild Sheep - Investigation for pre-kindergarten through second grade
  • Predator-Prey Relationships - Discover the balance of predator prey
  • Sheep Eater Indians - May be adapted for any grade level
  • Adaptations - Uses sight, sound and touch for lower grades

Or simply allow our education staff to help students explore in depth, the Center and the world of the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep.

A Publication for the Classroom

A Year in the life of the Whiskey Mountain Bighorn Sheep, a booklet presenting the basic facts about the biology and habitat needs of wild sheep, will help guide you in a teacher facilitated or student facilitated class discussion on Wild Sheep. This educational tool is easy to use in the classroom and published by the National Bighorn Sheep Interpretive Center. A Year in the Life of the Whiskey Mountain Bighorn Sheep is written at the sixth grade reading level and sells for $2.50 each.
